FAQs

  • Where is Ryan’s Plant Shop located?
    • Sterling, Virginia, which is about 45 minutes outside of Washington, D.C.
  • How long will it take to receive my plants?
    • All orders placed Sunday through Saturday ship the following Monday. This schedule reduces the risk of plants being delayed at shipping facilities over the weekend. Typically, your plant(s) will arrive in 2-5 days.
  • Why do my plants come in moss instead of soil?
    • Moss is a great, lightweight material that retains moisture. It makes shipping plants lighter, cleaner, and more cost-efficient.
  • Will my plant look like the pictures on this site?
    • We do our best to provide great quality plants to each of our customers. Since plants are living beings, no two are exactly alike. While we make every effort to display our plants as accurately as possible, you may see some differences from what is displayed online.
  • What do I do when my plant(s) arrives?
    • Carefully remove packaging. Once packaging is removed, water your plants and stick them in an area of indirect sunlight. This will help allow them to de-stress from such a long journey in the dark!
    • We recommend waiting at least 2-4 weeks before transferring into soil, unless roots become noticeably bunched or outgrowing the container.
  • How can I contact Ryan’s Plant Shop?
  • What is your return/refund policy?
